Tim Ashton
Bass
Tim may be familiar to fans of UK Neo-Progressive Rock while playing two stints with UK band Galahad, 1989-1993 and 2014-2017. He played bass on three of their studio albums : 'Nothing Is Written' (1991) 30th Anniversary album 'When Worlds Collide' (2015) and 'Seas of Change (2017) amongst other demo compilations.
Since the 1990s Tim has also lived the international life, in Japan and the Philippines, where he has been part of a veritable plethora of bands, most notably Dr Funkinstein (funk metal) Dave Taylor and Lights Out (blues, rock 'n' roll) and depped for Cocojam, the Philippines first original material reggae band.
Tim appeared on the prestigious Friday Rock Show on BBC Radio 1 UK, hosted by Tommy Vance, and has also performed across the world in France, Holland, Germany, Poland, Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. He has been featured playing live on cable television, interviewed on radio, magazines and played at countless festivals internationally.
He also frequently records, gigs and deps with local musicians in his home town of Bournemouth. He has played with fast blues band The Rolling Drunks since he was 18.
Tim joined Grace and Fire to complete the lineup in 2019 after Karl Groom of Threshold recommended him to André.
